I have been searching fruitlessly for descendants of my great-great-grandparents, Minnie Pylant and Edgar Doke Pigg. I would love to know more about them and I’m hoping to find photos of them.

Minnie and Doke were my grandmother’s grandparents on her father’s side. I don’t know if she met her grandfather since he died when she was 10 years old, but she told me she did talk to her grandmother some. I don’t have a lot of information about this family because my grandmother’s father moved from Sheffield, Alabama to Nashville when she was very young.

I am trying to track down other descendants. Ernest Durward Pigg (1908-1953) was my grandmother’s father. His siblings were:

William Rufus Pigg 1906–1961
John Kay Pigg 1910–1957
Ola Mai Pigg Agee 1912–1973
Sarah Pigg Ellis 1916–2012 *Sarah didn’t have any children to my knowledge.

My grandmother had quite a few unlabeled photos. Below are two photos that might be of Sarah Ellis and the other possibly Durward and his father, Doke. I have added them here in case anyone recognizes them. These photos are not saved to any tree or Ancestry.com since I can’t make a positive identification.
