March 5, 1788 – Register date. Grant or warrant number 558. “Granted to Daniel Smith assignee of heir Samuel Moser a tract of land containing 640 acres lying and lying in our County of Davidson on the north side of the Cumberland River…” (Ancestry.com) *Note, this is Daniel Smith of Historic Rock Castle.
April 13, 1795 – Register date. Grant or warrant number 1094. “At Fayetteville the 26th of November 1789.” “Granted unto James Sanders assignee Francis Mossar [Frances Moser] and Benjamin Robinson.” 914 acres.
